About 90 minutes ago I got an email; somebody had sent me a message on togetherweserved.com, which is a facebook-y website for military and veterans. I wondered who it was; I had never heard of this random Hospital Corpsman before. I wondered if it was spam or something.
It so happens that I maintain the profile of a friend, a fellow navigator who moved to the reconnaissance community after his cousin (also a Marine) was killed in Iraq. The corpsman was the guy who tried, and failed, to resuscitate my friend on the table in TQ, after he was mortally wounded while on a foot patrol.
